Chris - Page of Cups

Well here is an arrogant, young fellow that seems to grow on you as you get to know him.  He is in need of guidance, but is a hit with the ladies.  He is one who is book smart and educated, but has to work in the everyday common sense department. 

Chris is the son of Queen Catherine and King Conner.  He is the older brother to the lost sister, whose memory always provides that inner spark that keeps him going.  He can overindulge when moments of sadness get the best of him.  The partying is nothing that is too hardcore, just something to try to lose himself for awhile.  He knows it is wrong and he is looking for the better solution.  He understands his upcoming role and accepts it with pride and commitment.

So yes, Chris is generally well behaved, but can be overly sensitive, and knows the power of words.  The happiest news to him is that of an emotional nature.  He has shoulder-length chestnut brown hair, green eyes and has an athletic build.





Wyn - Knight of Wands

The Messenger from a distant land, this young man is eager, electric, ready at a moments notice, and can be rather reflective in his down times between travel. He is regal by nature, and not in an arrogant way, but in a graceful way.  Wyn is jovial and kind-hearted, and passionate like a lion. He is as full of rich character as the colors of autumn... bold and intense.  But he does hide behind his mask, and be a bit hasty and jump to some conclusions on rare events.  Wyn is fair skinned and fair haired, with bold light blue eyes.  Slender and strong, built for speed and distance.

He is here not for being a barer of bad news, but one of preparation. Wyn is looking for a change of residence or to begin a very long journey to parts unknown.






Savannah - Queen of Swords

Long and thick raven haired, bold and bright green eyed, high cheekbones, strong yet petite body frame.  Savannah carries herself as the extreme example of royalty.

She is swift to judgement, always looking to see the other "angle" either hers or the opposition.  This woman has a warriors soul and mind, and is protective of family at all costs.  She has a good heart, just overly protective.  Something she learned from an incident that happened in her past.

Savannah is cold to the outside world, warm to all that truly know her, if she lets you into her circle... which will always stay guarded.






Pieter - Page of Pentacles

He is a young, slender, yet muscular with golden brown wavy hair.  Always a look of wonder and longing to be somewhere else while still being attentive to those that are around him.

Gentle, earthy, cares for animals.. sometimes more than people.  Holistic, and exotic in a worldly manner.  Again, he only hunts to help provide for the people of the village and family.  He always gives thanks to the animals and fowl that have "sacrificed" themselves with their flesh, bone, and skins.

Pieter wants to explore and see the world.  Meet new people and learn about different cultures.  He is always longing to get away, and not content to always being just the messenger to King and Queen.  Pieter is full of youthful ambition and always manages to take just enough risk, but keep himself "out of real trouble" though.





Connor- King of Cups

He reminds me of the person who always has that thoughtful, but funny and poignant, with a sharp and quick reply.  Of course he is handsome with long wavy chestnut brown hair, green eyes, broad shoulders with a robust muscular build.

Earthy, pragmatic, giver, devoted to his wife and family.  Masculine and regal, easier going than expected, like to hunt, but only battles for defensive reasons.  Stable.

He enjoys his time out in the woods during the hunt.  This will help feed his kingdom, he wants to be a provider and be fair for all.  He is swift to judgement with a wrong doing to an innocent.

He will often lose himself into the night sky.  The vastness of the darkness, lighted up the twinkling pinpoints of light.  Moon lit swims are where he talks to his lost daughter.




Catherine - Queen of Cups

She reminds me much of Isabelle of France (reference the movie Braveheart)  in appearance.  Petite, graceful, intelligent, and a giving heart.  She is elegant in appearance with long flowing brown hair and bold green eyes.  She is blessed with one son and a daughter who has passed.  This is her secret heartache that rarely is shown in public.  She is much like the card of Strength; strong, firm, in control, but ever the nurturer.  Being kind and gentle to all those in need.

She savors the time when she can be out and embracing the nights of the waning moon.  This is where she lets go and renews herself.  She talks to Luna and the water sprites.

This is the first installment of how I see Catherine, and as time and intuition changes.. so may Catherine.. or any of the characters.  Each can and will grow as people and characters do.  I hope to keep it all "straight" and in a logical order!  Such the wish of the writer after all!





I was again inspired by Kelly-Ann Maddox over at The Four Queens on the use of Tarot Cards for storytelling and creating characters.  I totally had a light bulb moment and decided to use her advice on create some characters and build a story using the cards for plot points along the way!

So here are my introduction to characters:

In order drawn-
1) Page of Cups
2) Knight of Wands
3) Page of Pentacles
4) Queen of Swords
5) Queen of Cups
6) King of Cups

I will begin my story of the "original" Family of Cups, and start out by telling you about each of the individual characters and then I shall weave them all together to create a little storybook.  I am going to schedule updates at minimum every two weeks for either characters or story lines... And I'm a Gemini so plot lines are subject to change .. haha  (But I am also looking for employment, so personal schedule is up for change... knock on wood!!)  But that is the commitment I have decided to make with myself.. (cuz sometimes I really need a deadline!)

So, the first character that spoke to me was that of Queen Catherine, and I will have her bio up to you by next Friday!  I am looking forward to this creative outlet, and hoping it brings out that writing bug I have always denied because of negative self talk.  I usually write better than I speak, heck... just look at my vids! .. Hahaha  But I will also be creating vlog on my characters as well... Lights, Camera, .... and Action!!  I hope you enjoy, and I welcome constructive comments.
